Sorry, I am confused. Did you cut the factory electrical connector and directly wire to the new cd player?

I made the same mistake on my 97 accord. I cut the factory radio harness and tried to install my new radio (which didn't work). I later found out that there was a $15 harness connector I could've bought and just plugged my new radio right in. I would check your local auto parts store (or walmart) and see if they have a connector for your accord. They had one for mine which I could've used if I knew about it.

Do not cut the harness from now on, not only does it make it harder on you it is also frustrating to whomever buys the car from you.

here is the wiring colors for your car.

My suggestion would be wiring your factory harness back in. then buying the adapter.
