Accord factory radio display Error E - Code instructions
#11
I figured out how to get the serial number and called the dealership for the code. They gave me the code and the navigation system said incorrect code. The dealership said I would have to bring in. Has anyone encountered this issues. Before I pay $100/hr fee just to turn on the NAV/radio!.. Thanks..

My 99 would not retrieve the serial # with the 1 & 6 preset button method but I did get a 7 digit number off the bottom with a mirror and a 9 digit number the same way.I believe the correct number is the 7 digit number.

Bummer deal. Buyer beware, don't buy OEM without the COdE. I have an 1998-2002 OEM 6-disc for sale with the COdE.
I would return it if they did not provide the code. Possible a dealer could find out... for a fee.

I would ask the seller to look in his drivers manual for it. Alot of times people install stereos in there cars then sell the factory radio on Ebay.
If the seller does not have it, ask if they wouldn't mind filling this out
https://radio-navicode.honda.com/ and click on "Get Codes"
I had a similar situation happen when my factory radio stopped working and I got one from ebay. Lucky the seller was able to look it up for me with that website.
