Red face Cd Player error help

I have a 05 accord ex with a standard 6 disc cd player. My cd player will load, and eject the cd 's without any issues. When I insert a cd into the player (even a store bought cd) My cd player reads cd, the track number, and error. Can anyone help with this? In the manual it says to remove the disc, and insert. If the problem persists to take it to a honda dealer, and they will fix it. The problem is they won't.

my 04 does the same thing. when it does, I eject the cd and it is very warm. I leave it on the seat for like 5 mins and put it back in and it works. Im sure the cd player is on its last legs.

yea, factory head units (not just Honda) are notorious for failure. they are made by other brands (panasonic, pioneer, rockford fosgate, etc) and car manufacturers just work out deals with the suppliers.
