Folks,

I bought an used 2005 Honda Accord DX recently. I'm planning to get power door locks installed for it.

1. Is it possible to install power door locks? I believe I cannot do it myself and may have to takea technician help.
2. How much would it cost typically - for equipment and technician?
3. Is there any recommendations for a specific manufacturer for power door locks?
4. Do I need to go to Honda dealer for installation?

Any suggestions would be appreciable.

1) yes it's possible but unless you have a good knowledge of electronics and a wiring diagram it will be difficult to do alone...
2) Cost, no idea, I'd guess at LEAST 30 minutes per door then an hour under the dash so 3 hours minimum at full shop rate
3) I'd buy oem if possible just so install goes faster, find a junk yard to save money and pull it from there
4) Doesn't have to be a dealer but needs to be a good mechanic with a good electrical understanding, honda specific mechanic is ideal..
