We get a lot of requests that ask will part X from a 94 part fit in my 98, etc...

The best way to figure out if part X will work on your car is to look up the OEM part X number for both your car and the donor vehicle.

Online OEM parts sites like hondapartsnow.com display the OEM Honda part number when you look them up.

If your car and the donor car share identical part numbers, then you know for sure that the parts are interchangeable.

If they do not have the same part number, then there is some difference between the parts. The part will probably not work or fit correctly without some major or minor modifications.

*Also, you can click on the OEM part number on the hondapartsnow.com site, a new window will open up with a list of Honda models that share that part.

Here is an example it will list:

ACCORD 2D '94-97
ACCORD 4D '94-97 E2/V6 E2

You must click on ACCORD 2D 94-97 link to see specifically which 5th generation accord coupes have the same part. Not all 94-97 accords may use this identical part! The part may only fit and EX accord, so the table that opens will only list coupes with the EX body and trim.

I have a 96 honda accord lx 2 dr coupe. i tried using your link above for some information, but could not figure out what to do. i am looking to get new bumpers, mirrors and passenger headlight. could you please let me know what years are compatible. thanks

 

Look up the part you want to replace on your accord on the hondapartsnow.com site.

For your car, I entered 1996, 2DR LX, KA AT.

Click on interior/bumper.
Click on bumper.

Your front bumper is listed at #1 in the diagram.
Click on 04711-SV4-A90ZZ and a new window will open.

Under Honda Models:
It says ACCORD 2D '94-'97, ACCORD 4D '94-'97 E2/V-6 E2, and ACCORD 5D '94-'97.

Click on each one of these links. There will be a list of accords use the same part number.

Do this for each part you want to replace. Does this make sense?
