Hi. My baby had over 153K miles. Yesterday, was stuck in flood waters at work. Ended up in around a foot of water. Looking at car, no water in tail pipe and both bumpers above water lever. Driving home going around 30, it felt funny, almost like it was going to shut off. Got home ok, but there was water on the floor of driver's side, passenger front and back. It does leak , but never this bad. Started car and made it to end of block, but when I applied the brakes, the engine light came on and shut off. About 15 minutes later, it started and sounded ok, but as I turned the corner to head home, the engine light came on and the car died. I heard a sloshing sound while driving this time. I fear the worse when it's towed to the mechanic tomorrow. Any suggestions as what it might be? Thank you so much for any help.

 

ECM/TCM is on the floor on pax side. It may be flooded w/ water. This will cause problems.

It may only require removal, cleaning, and drying. However used ECM/TCM is readily available (ebay, car-part.com) used and repair costs are reasonable also.
