chipped p28 ecu with base map h22 then get a tune

*edit* you know you need a h22 water pump gear
crank timing gear from a h22 block...Also you need the h22 water pipe so you can weld it to fit to a f22 water pipe

yeah those are the easy things to find for the build. i have been using piratemcfred and sam1am's threads. Tons of great info! Yours looks great so far too. Im interested to see how yours comes out.

so a p28?... is that because they are easy/easier to program and tune? I know the obd1 p28 is highly valued in the civics and tegs, although lot of people frown on the 1997 civ/sol obd2 p28. they say its worthless to chip is this true? Wouldnt it be better to go a p5p or a obd2 p13 on the g23... since their prelude ecus? I donno?... ill keep up the thread hunt for now...

most of the ob2 ecus have the immobilizer on them so they can’t be used. as far as I know the p13 can’t be chipped and tuned if I remember correctly. you WILL need a tune after building a g series engine. A base map will only be good for low revving. A base map should get you by to get to your tuner along as you don’t rev her much like maybe rev out to 3k at most.
You can find chipped p28 ecus online for like 130-150bucks with a base map of choice. But you will need a tune after you get the ecu so you don't blow up newly built engine.

Also some of the timing parts are kinda hard to find unless you have a bunch of h22 friends. I had a hard time finding a h22 timing crank gear.

*edit* I see your looking for parts for your 5 speed swap. I know a guy selling shift cables for 30buck plus ship let me know and I give you the forum and the guys name. I also know a guy selling 5 speed shifter on the same forum I think he wants 35bucks shipped to you. Just let me know I hook you up son!

I dnt much knowledge about swaps but i do have alot of enthusiasm to learn and to do this same project.
