Help reading error code

Default Help reading error code

i have a 1995 honda accord that the check engine light came on. the error code is 41 - 1 02 or LAF SNSR HTR CKT Failure....does anyone know what this is refering to and or any documentation on what this is?

I googled the OBDI code and found an OBDI Diagnostic Trouble Codes list for Hondas. Here's the link: http://autorepair.about.com/library/...once=true& Ignore the fact that the year says 1994 since the 1994 Accords fall in the same generation as the 1995. (Note: The 1996 and 1997 Accords as well as all cars 96 and up use the OBDII codes now.) Anyway, it turns out that your primary O2 sensor heater finally gave out. Just replace it. It's located on the manifold (the headers). You can get a decent Bosch O2 sensor from Advance Auto Parts for $96.99. I didn't know they were that expensive though lol! To browse through their catalog, go to partsamerica.com, click on Choose to choose your vehicle, enter your vehicle, go to Emissions under Replacement Parts, and click on O2 Sensors and enter your ZIP and they'll show you their list. No problem. Just glad to help a buddy and have another case closed! By the way, is your car running a little funny for now? It's probably not getting the right fuel to air mixture which can decrease your gas mileage a bit til you get your O2 sensor fixed.

Unplug the oxygen sensor. Look for the 2 same-color (black?)wires to the sensor. Measure the resistance between them. It shoud be 10 to 40 ohms. If the sensor heater is burned out itll probably read open-circuit.

If the resistance of the sensor-heater is OK, then you have to look for problems in the heater circuit in the car...
