Spray throttle body cleaner or brake cleaner around all joints and fittings that could leak air. Listen for a increase/change in idle speed to indicate added fuel is being pulled in through the leak.

good luck

The car doesn't do like it used to, before when this idle problem presented it self it didn't last longer than 15 minutes, now the problem doesn't go away, further more, the car stays on hi rev, I mean 1100 RPM while the car is on "D" and I have the break on, if I release the break just a bit, the car will push forward hard.

it seems mechanic shop time I really wanted to fix this myself.

Yes, both are fuels that will cause a change in rpm when pulled in through a vacuum leak. You can also use a spray of water to find vacuum leak.

good luck

Just be careful with water......a mist spray is all you want. Water does not compress like air or "fuels", so too much making it into the cyl and then tring to compress can go wrong if over done.

Default New Update

I still haven't been able to fix the car, but I made a discovery due to TexasHonda sugestion.

I'm sorry for the video quality, but my last two videos took half hour to upload, I'm not sure why.

I turned on the car and the RPMs were oscillating like they have been doing, and I spray Carb & Throttle body cleaner by the IAC Valve and the RPM stabilize, but they did on high RPM (1200) I wasn't sure if this happen due to the spray so I did it again, I turned off the car, waited a bit and turn it back on, the RPMs stated to oscillate again and I sprayed it again and the RPMs did stabilize once more.

If TexasHonda is correct, the problem will be an air leakage.

If you remember the O-Ring damage...

That is where it seems most of the spray went too, I did replace the O-Ring, but I am not sure if it seal since the one I bought it was a generic one.

will post results tomorrow night.

Make sure the vacuum line to the IACV is not damaged or split.

good luck

Default Fix Attempt #3

Well I change the O-Ring, started the car and it keep oscillating from 1000 to 2000 RPM. I sprayed throttle body cleaner in all possible air leaks, check for damage hoses and nothing! I even sprayed the same spot as yesterday.

I have no clue what is going on.

Although I have to say that the O-Ring was flatten on both sides, meaning it seems like it was completely sealing before.

Any more ideas??

btw I didn't hear any air leakage, I follow the sound (by ear) and it seems to be coming from the belts on the other side of the engine.

Suggest performing an idle speed adjustment. See shop manual for procedure (automanualsource.com for $22). This will insure base idle is set correctly.

good luck
