Default "lag" at low RPM with new cam

I needed a new starter so I went to the Ewe pull it to get one and instead left with an A6 cam for my little F22a4, so I guess I now have like.. an F22a5, ill call it... Yea, lets go with that.. ANYWAY, before I get too side tracked, when doing the cam swap, didn't want to have to loosen the timing belt tensioner so I put the cam at TDC, or damn close, and took out the A4 cam, lined up the A6 cam perfectly with where the A4 was, but there was a bit of slack in the belt, which is normal even when doing a timing belt in general, so i turned the engine back to get rid of the slack and it started right up no problems and all that, but it felt really sluggish until I hit about.. 3.5-4k RPM, then I can feel the difference in the cams. thought that it had maybe jumped a tooth so I took off the belt and all that, come to find out the tentioner.... well it needs to be completely replaced because the bolt doesnt loosen(stripped the head of it...) after ~3 hours of fighting a very taut belt got it all back together, timing is dead on, checked it afterwards, everything was where it should be when it should be throughout the stroke of cylinder 1, so buttoned everything up took it for a test, and it did hop a tooth before, but it's still sluggish. I am thinking possible Ignition timing, but not 100% sure, it has a brand new coil, map sensor, distributor, cap, rotor, 8mm wires, and NGK plugs. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

What year/model accord do you have? What honda vehicle did the A6 cam come from?

Obviously if you're running a different cam with a different cam profile you will need to use a chipped ecu and have it tuned for that cam or it's not going to run right.

I wouldnt need a chipped ECU if it came out of a stock A6 motor, maybe the A6's ECU. but regardless, it would give a fluctuation of A/F ratio mapping, and i was running rich before hand.

This is from wikipedia:

F22A4: 130 hp (96.94 kW) @ 5200 rpm. (Accord EX) The F22A4 is the same motor as the F22A1 but it has slightly more power due to a tubular designed header and slightly bigger exhaust piping.

F22A6: 140 hp (104.40 kW) @ 5600 rpm. The F22A6 is the same as the F22A1 except for a slightly more aggressive camshaft, a better flowing cast exhaust manifold, a different more aggressively tuned ECU (PT6), and a different intake manifold that utilizes IAB's and also has a bigger plenum. The F22A6 also has a windage tray in the oil pan, and stiffer valve springs to accommodate the more aggressive camshaft. In cars with an automatic transmission there is an oil cooler present on the back of the block as well.

You may need the A6 ECU, the upgraded intake too, and other items to make this work properly.
