1991 Honda Accord LX-Auto
I am looking to do some mods for my Sons new ride. But is the F22A1 a good one to start with. There are so many post on H22,F22,F20..."Not sure"
I was thinking Header, new Exhaust and drive it.

If it is an auto and he is just "learning" to drive.....me, get the basic stuff first - check/replace the suspension, brakes, tune up stuff, fluids (engine, trans, brake, ps) and then know that the timing belt job is dur every 100K or ~7 years.
From there of you can decide on the intake, headder and exhaust.,,,none of which are going to add much HP (all three, maybe 15~20 HP) but do make the sound/butt feel a bit better.

Wilke,
Same thoughts, I've helped sons get their first cars, but the cars here were just this side of junk so that sons learn to work and can measure their progress by how their cars improve over the years. Also learn to work on the car themselves.
On the cars, at purchase, I would change the fluids, fixed brakes/tires if needed, add wiper blades and let them drive it. Other than those, I did nothing else for at least 3 months to make sure the car's going to stay around.
