Default 2009 Honda Accord for under 12K...should I buy?

Hi,

I found a 2009 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L v6 for about $12,000 dollars with only 25k miles. The seller claims that it is in fact a clean title and that there have been no damages, accidents, dents, scratches, etc whatsoever and can provide a car fax report. Now this is a ridiculously under priced car and their is something fishy about this. This might be the catch...the seller wants to sell it online through google checkout where I put funds for the car into an account that google secures and the car would be shipped over to me...I would then have 5 days to inspect it and decide whether to buy it. I can cancel the transaction or let the funds go through if I want to buy it or not and I do not have to pay for the shipping.

Should I still be interested in this or there has to be something wrong with it? I don't believe he is trying to sell the car in person but rather using google for w/e reason. Any input would be appreciated. He has sent me pics and everything looks fine so it and it seems that this person has nothing to hide. I would like to also say that I live in another state so maybe he is doing it online just in this case,
Thanks.

This is most likely a scam if the seller wants you to put funds into an account before inspecting the car.

If you cannot drive to see the car then run away as fast as you can.

^ yeah I am most likely not going to go through with it but he doesn't get the funds...google does...it's an escrow account and they secure it. Maybe I should offer to see it in person and see what he says? The reasons why I am interested in it is because I rarely see these types of deals/scams without it being a salvaged title and that he has been pretty straight forward with me...answering my questions and sending many pictures.

If this is google account will prevent you from being scammed then it sounds like its worth taking the risk. However if this is a scammer he has most likely done this before using the google account method so be careful.

I would suggest running!!

If your really interested I would suggest hoping on a plane and going to see the car. Shipped? Its expensive to ship a car, also varies by region. Say your more then happy to use google checkout to buy the car but not until you see it, you can tell them youll bring a laptop and use google checkout if that is what they really want.

Did you google a few phrases from the listing? I was looking for a rental where I was supposed to pay the deposit and they were then going to mail the keys. They had pictures and everything of the house. I googled a couple words in the listing and all kinds of things showed up for different listing sites for different houses.
