1992 Honda Accord fans while engine off
This may sound silly, but how many fans run during cool down with the engine off. I never opened the hood to look. I ask because I had to remove the driver side fan while replacing the O2 sensor. Today I had to open the hood with the fans running and only the passenger side fan was running. Is that just to preserve battery juice with the engine off? The engine never gets hot while running. Thanks in advance!

The passenger side fan is the radiator fan. So, it is normal if that is the only fan running after it is off. It is to cool the engine if after shut off, if the coolant temp. reach approximate 217 - 228 degrees F at Thermoswitch B.
The driver side fan is the AC condenser fan.

You can check the fans by turning on the A/C. Both fans should run.
Or...
Follow the LOWER radiator hose back to the thermostat housing (below the throttlebody). In the T-stat housing is a switch with a 2-wire plug. Remove the plug & jumper between the 2 wires with a paperclip or piece of wire. Key ON, that should make both fans run.
