1992 honda accord overheating or is it?
replaced the thermostat with Factory. Flushed system. Bleed air out of antifreeze. replaced hoses. replaced radiator cap
my 92 overheats everyday. I've been driving it for over a year and it says it overheats on the gauge. I open the hood and no fizzing or anything. I can even open the radiator cap and it's normal. I never lose any antifreeze, always the same level. When i press on the gas the temp reads 7/8 hot almost in the red. i let off the gas...and back to normal. At idle just normal temp. on freeway, hot hot hot I'd like to sell it someday and don't want this happening to someone else. any comments are welcome ex. you can't spell or idiot for driving like that for a year.
thanks
Josh

From the sounds of it your guage is just screwed up.... you mentioned that your fluid levels were fine and that it looks and smells normal so if you're not loosing fluid and it's not unusually hot you may just need a new temp guage, check all of your fuses first and make sure that your connections to the sensor are good and clean and not corroded... do any of your other guages act up? anything else on the car seem strange?

Prior to starting the car one morning or after it's cooled down all the way pull off the radiator cap and your fluid should be visible, if you see what appears to be a film over the top that casts a bunch of colors (similar to what oil or fuel looks like when it floats on water) then you may have a head gasket issue...
