Hi HAF, I have a 1998 Honda Accord V6. I have the check engine light on for code 1457. I was told that my Evap Canister is the problem. I want to buy the whole piece so I searched on eBay and found two different Item which are supposed to be the same piece. Can you guys tell me which one should be? Thank You.

I'm moving you to the forum you are now in..Please post in correct forums.

 

Those are not identical parts, and they are not labeled the same.

One is the EVAP shut valve. The other looks like a filter for the evap.

I did this repair on a friends car. You may want to label the hoses you disconnect to be sure you get them back in the right place. The hardest part is the screws tend to be very corroded. I got one out and the second one I had to cut out.

@PAHonda thank you, very help full video. Can please send a link of a photo showing what the canister look like? I like to buy the entire piece. When I search for te canister only the EVAP shut valve and The filter for the evap comes up.

That is a used part, but the pictures will help when shopping.

A is the one under your car that is also in that video. B must be in the engine bay.

A P1457 is caused typically by the vent shut valve that attaches to the canister.
