2000 honda accord electrical issues
I have a 2000 accord lx and the instrument cluster doesnt work at all except a flashing green key or seat beat warning light. the previous owner said their father had replaced the engine and the instrument cluster, power windows and power locks(works on front passenger, stops working temporary if used too much) stopped working.
i checked the fuses and the seem okay. Can someone please help me troubleshoot this one?

Willing to try.....do you have a volt meter and some time?
When you turn the key to on, do any lights on the dash come on - besides the green key light - like the Oil light or anything else?

Thanks fo the reply! I do own a voltage meter and the only lights that come on in the dash are the green key and battery lights when I start the car and then they both go off and the dash is dead. Not even a backlight. But the cruise control still works so I don't think its vss.

Still sounds like a fuse (#9 7.5 amp) drivers underdash.
Don't know if this eye chart will make sense, you can see that power to the "green key", charge come from different fuses. The YEL wire from the fuse ref above goes to the "rest" of the cluster (high level)... page two where the YEL wire goes to the right shows where it powers the tach and that.....also to your point the VSS is powered by another fuse.....so long story to say PLEASE double check the #9 fuse.....
