Default To ring or not to ring

Well I am just about ready to do the headgasket on my old F22a1. My next question would be if it would be wise to go ahead and re ring it while the head is off. I have noticed its starting to use oil pretty bad and I dont know if it is the head gasket or the rings starting to go. What gets me is that I have all new seals on the bottom end and I have no blue smoke. Shes got 250k on her and I would like to get at least 50k more before I replace it. Shes had a very hard last 75k miles and I hate pulling motors. Rings cant cost that much and Im sure I need to replace the oil pan gasket again (fel pro yuck). What is everybody's opinion on this? I just dont wanna go another 5k miles and find out the rings are going bad and have it smoke all the time.
