PA honda,
Sure I'll go ahead and jack up the car and take some snapshots at a further distance.

Cheers

11, 8 and 5 I would inspect - might have to clean it up a bit before trying to find the source.

Hello Poorman212
Thanks for the attached figure. Is 11, 8 and 5 can be seen on the exterior on the engine? Or is this internally located in the Engine?

I don't see those locations on the passenger side of the engine?

Cheers
Tim

The VTC strainer (#11) is near the drive belt auto-tensioner. My post #9 in this other thread shows a photo of the location.

https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/for...ocation-57236/

The VTC oil control solenoid valve (#8 o-ring) is visible on the passenger side of the engine block. It is very close to the VTC strainer. You'll only see part of it from outside the engine block, as most of the length of the part is in the engine. It has a black electrical connector plugged into it.

Your first post in this thread stated you replaced the VTEC solenoid valve gasket (that should have been #5).

Hello Redbull-1
I check the VTC Strainer (#11) as depicted and you had indicating in the attached snapshot. Seems to be dry from all sides.

Thanks
Tim

I actually never believed the leak to be from the VTC strainer at all, I included the info. as part of those indicate part numbers from the previous posts. Even if the VTC strainer leaked, it would be very minute compared to what your photos show.

From your photos, my first guess would have been in the following order:

1. VTEC solenoid valve seal (due to where area of the oil leak)
2. Crank seal, which can splatter leak oil around. However, there is oil up higher on one of the wire looms, which may be evidence it is not the crank seal.
3. VTC oil control solenoid valve. Some of your photos seem to show oil on the wire harness for the VTC oil control solenoid valve.

Hello Redubull-1
Thank you very much for the snapshot indicating the VTC Oil Control Solenoid valve. You are correct there was oil over the wire harness connected to the valve. I'll clean it with disc break cleaner and double check if that is the case of the leak.
I'll have to thoroughly clean the area to make sure if the culprit is the VTC oil control solenoid valve.

I'll keep everyone posted.

Cheers
Tim

What is the 20,10,11 parts called in the diagram you provided. Mine is leaking from that part. I’m 100% sure of it. I power wash the whole engine and let it dry then started with observation in that area was able to find exact part leak. Thank you so much
