Default 2004 Honda Accord Coupe Radio Reset help

Hello All,

I have a strange situation going on with my original radio in the accord. I have followed all steps to reset the radio after a dead battery however no success.

The radio keeps cycling through different error codes each time I enter my radio unlock code. So it goes from E1 all the way to E8 each time I enter the radio reset code it goes up in numerical order E1, E2,E3 etc...

Any advice ?

Battery removed or blown radio fuse will show CODE or COde. Check fuse(s) for your model's trim level radio.

The system allows 10 attempts before it locks outs for about an hour. Disconnecting the negative battery cable allows quicker reset. (The E1, E2, E3 are due to the number of attempts incorrectly entered.)

The radio code being entered is either:
  • not correct
  • incorrectly entered (human error)
  • issue with radio button or TUNE **** (code is entered differently depending model trim level; refer to owner's manual)
  • issue with radio
Disconnect negative battery terminal for a few minutes and try again.
