Help! cam pulley bolt broke off
I was tightening the bolt for the cam pulley and it snapped off. What are my options? Does any one have specs on the bolt so I could see about picking one up at a hardware store? I attached a picture below:

This is not the place to learn how to remove a difficult bolt. Get professional help from someone whose done this job.
There are several possible avenues to repair.
1) Drill a pilot hole in the bolt end w/ LH drill bit and thread in an "easy-out" tool to back the bolt end out. End should be loose unless the bolt was cross-threaded (very possible). If not cross-threaded, the bolt end may come out w/ LH drilling.
2) A nut about same as bolt size is set over end of shaft and weld material is built up from bolt end until the nut is welded to the bolt end. The nut is then used to turn the bolt end out. I've used this w/ success offshore on rigs w/ an expert welder to do the welding.
3) Remove the camshaft from cylinder head and send to a machine shop to remove the bolt end.
If this bolt was twisted off due to excess torque, you need to get a torque wrench and learn to use to avoid future mishaps. Using a torque wrench will educate your "feel" for correct torque where torque wrench won't go (not an unusual event).
good luck
