Earlier you found that starting was improved by "priming" the fuel pump 3 times before starting. No change in fuel pressure during starting is not consistent the finding that priming improves starting. I would have suspected that fuel pressure is increasing w/ each prime to have a better starting pressure.

Either you've missed something when measuring fuel pressure (not likely) or the problem never was fuel pressure (likely), and earlier finding was only a coincidence.

Suggest checking whether priming indeed improves starting time or not. If yes, you should see some improvement in fuel pressure w/ each prime.

good luck

I borrowed the test kit so I can't easily retest the pressure. I'm pretty sure I had my wife turn the key off then back on a few times and it consistently went to the pressure I stated earlier, 52 then down to 46 right away.

I'll try this test again.
Turn the key to the II position, but do not try to start the car. When the check engine light turns off after the bulb check, turn off the key. Repeat for a total of 3 times. Then turn the key all the way to start the engine. Let us know if it starts up immediately.

I tried the priming again and it is inconsistent at best. It is no better that just turning the key and trying to start. The air filter was very bad but when I changed it there was no difference. Should I try cleaning the throttle body? One other thing that happened recently was the catalytic converter shield fell off. Like I said earlier, this car never started as well as other Honda's I've owned as far as how many cranks required to start. Only recently it started sputtering/starter clutch disengaging.

One more thing, should I try getting my hands on a spark tester or could I just eyeball it or not worth the effort here?

Poor running performance is more likely worn spark plugs than ignition Coil-Over-Plug units. Is car missing once started or runs OK?

Checking for spark can't hurt and is difficult on COP's w/o some rigging such as spark plug w/ attached ground wire. Seeing spark can be challenging in bright sunlight.

good luck

Car runs fine except for startup. I changed the plugs 2 months ago or so. Could there be a bad plug?

I'm not sure there is actually a miss but I can try moving things around. Did you see something in the codes I uploaded? What is COP?

Sorry, I got your thread mixed up w/ another thread. I'll delete my previous post.

I could not open the pdf file you uploaded so not aware of codes. Suggest typing them in reply.

good luck
