I have a 2014 Honda Accord Ex. Only has <2,000 miles. I have been noticing that my front passenger side makes small noise when I am driving on an uneven road, but not when I am going above 50 MPH. Sometimes I notice more and sometimes none. Can anyone tell me what problem could it be? Is that a common problem because my 2011 CRV has the same problem, but on the driver side. thanks

 

Schedule an appointment with the dealer since you're still under warranty.

If it is wind noise, there is a Honda service bulletin #13-010 for 2013 Accords with Wind Noise at the Driver’s or Front Passenger’s Window (will most likely apply to the 2014).

The symptom is wind noise is heard in one or both of these areas in the driver’s and/or front passenger’s window:
• Power door mirror
• Upper front side window area (B-pillar, at ear level)

Several possible causes can lead to wind noise:
• Door mirror area
- Missing mirror seal
- Misset window run channel
• Upper front side window area
- Misset window run channel
- Door sash outer trim fit (V6 models only)
- Gap between the run channel and the trim

Depending on the diagnosis, the door sash outer trim is replaced, or the appropriate area is resealed.

 

If it is not wind noise, is the noise from something outside or inside the car?

 

thanks RedBUll. I think it's not the door/window noise cuz the sound only comes on when I am driving on an uneven surface. I am thinking more of the shock/spring. What do you think. I wanna to take it to the dealer, but the noise comes on intermittently. Guess I will have to drive around the dealer and see if I can reproduce the sound.
