Default 89 Accord LX 2bbl hesitation problem

My 3rd gen is hesitating after stopping at around 900rpm and then "chugging" at between 2500 and 3000 rpm. I used some carb cleaner and it helped brieflybut not entirely please help. thank you

Well, I'll start with the normal things.

Tune up items (cap, rotor, plugs) are up to date? Both, yes there are two, fuel filters have been replaced on schedule.

Then, may not be the issue but "kind of" sounds like it.....this is where I go off the deep end,,,,,,,on the back side of the carb (between carb and firewall) at the very base of the carb is where the #7 (if you still have the OE numbering on the hoses) vac hose connects. Take a look at it VERY closely, even give it a slight tug or push with a screw driver and be sure it is not broken. It is close to the base where the heat seems to burn thru it.
