Default Hard moving into gear

It's kind of hard moving the stick to their corresponding gears. I've looked around and think that it's perhaps the gear oil? If it is, is there anybody that would be willing to lend a novice a hand?
Thanks.

Put your car information in your signature like my signature, so we can give you the proper instructions.

Click on User CP.

On the left pane it says edit signature, click on that.

Enter your information and click save signature.

On the left pane again, click edit options.

In the box that says Thread Display Options, make sure show thread signatures is checked.

Click save changes, and your signature will show up every time you post.

That should have done it. Maybe something is up with the forum software?

I saw your signature, its a 96 EX MT.

Its pretty simple to change the transmission fluid. You can download a 94 shop manual from the spooner link I posted in the online manuals thread in the DIY section. See attached pic from that manual.

Jack up your car, then put it on jack stands.

There is a drain bolt on the bottom of the transmission that has a square hole that you can put you ratchet into. Remove the top fill plug first, then remove the bottom, allow all of the fluid to drain. Put drain plug back in.

I used a funnel with a hose on the bottom and filled the transmission from the top of the car. I had to route the hose to the hole where the fill plug was, added the fluid, tightened the fill plug. Your transmission takes 2 quarts of fluid. I would get the Honda MTF fluid from the dealership. You can use the grade of oil in the pic as well.

After creating your signature, there's another check-box somewhere that says "DISPLAY" the signature. (Don't ask me why the software is set up that way)
