Default 93 Accord acts like hits rev limiter

Ok, new to this site so bear with me.
I have a 93 Accord - 217K auto. Starts and drives fine, rough idle but that's expected IMO. Anyway, whether in park or drive under heavy acceleration or revving it acts like it hits the rev limiter at roughly 3500 RPM.
Took it to a shop for a free scan but they do not have the comp to work on 96 or older. They did say they got a code related to injectors but all are working according to them. They did say they checked the ohms at each and it registers 7.2ohms. According to them they are supposed to be in the 1.2-2.5 range based on research. Is this true? Odd thing is all read the same at 7.2 which would indicate operational.

I was thinking EGR valve but now question that. Any ideas? possible computer?

Thanks in advance.

Get the engine and transmission computer codes. See thread in DIY section called How to get CEL codes.

Yeah, anything 1995 & earlier, you can get the codes by jumpering a wire with a paperclip & watch the CEL flashing. Look for instructions somewhere in the DIY section.

Ok, finally had an opportunity to pull CEL codes. I get code 16 = fuel injectors. Ideas for next step?

Check wiring to the injectors. Each injector has 2 wires. The wire that matches color across all 4 injectors is supposed to have battery power whenever the key is on. Check that with a multi-meter. The ECU closes the ground side of each circuit.

Dirty/loose/corroded plugs at the injectors?

ok, checked with a multi meter and each injector shows 2.1-2.2 ohms and each lead to the injectors are getting just under 12v when the key is on.

Ugh!

I read where a code 16 can arise from a faulty main fuel relay. See if one of the wires has 12V when the key is in the II position going to a fuel injector plug.

The wire color you want to test will be the same on all the injectors.

@PAHonda - I did that and all 4 injector wire plugs are getting just under 12V with key in position 2

What is the voltage across the battery posts?

@PAHonda : Key at ignition position II - posts read 11.7 volts and each injector clip reads 11.4 volts.

Should I try the main relay under the dash and see how it looks or what would you suggest?
