97 accord lx v6 4 door
When I get in and turn the key on, all the lights light up on the dash except the passenger side door open light

When I open the passenger door, the dome light does come up, but the red door light on the dash does not. All other red door/trunk lights work fine.

Is this a single bulb that I can replace, or how exactly would I fix this?

It is possible to replace the small bulb which illuminates the door open lens. However, the gauge panel must be removed, which requires removal of trim bezel around the gauge panel. Easy to damage the plastic trim if you're not careful.

The risk/reward ratio here is not favorable.

The tiny bulb is available from Honda parts or online at many sources. Some swap bulbs from seldom used symbols (1, 2, D3 trans bulbs).
