2004 Accord V6 Question
I recently had an accident that caused a lot of damage to the front end. I had it repaired at a local body shop in Fredericksburg, VA and along with the body repairs to the bumper, grill, hood and right fender the following mechanical repairs were also needed:
Front Headlamps
o Reconditioned Right Headlamp
o Removed and Reinstalled Left Headlamp
Cooling
o New Radiator Support
o New Radiator Assembly
A/C and Heating
o New condenser
o New Motor
Steering Gear and Linkage
o New Cap
o New Suction hose
o New Power Steering Reservoir
o New Power Steering Upper Hose
New Horn
Removed and reinstalled Left and Right impact sensors
Reset Electronics
I was pleased with the repairs until a week after I picked up the car. Upon trying to leave work at the end of the day my car was completely dead. It had no power at all, even electric door locks would not work. It was very much a surprise to have the car in that condition being the battery is only 6 months old and it never had electrical problems previously. I don’t want to sound paranoid but that would be some coincidence, if the car developed electrical problems that were not related to the accident or the repairs. Any ideas of possible causes of such a problem after having the repairs listed above preformed would be greatly appreciated.

When you said a new motor, do you mean the a/c compressor?
Anyway, it sounds like the battery cable could have come loose off of either the battery posts or where the negative cable grounds to the radiator support.
I would just check that all ends of both battery cables are clean and secure.

Possible Cause of Problem;
Pinched wire harness, wire intermittantly grounding.
FWIW I had a 92 Accord in the shop that had been crunched in the front, wire harness had been crushed, and a power wire was intermittantly back feeding a ground so the headlights would sometimes work.
Been there, Done that, Seen the Movie & got the T-shirt
