Does anyone have any idea what would cause the brake lights to continually stay on? I've tried changing the brake switch under the pedal beneath the dash but that didn't solve it .

 

On the arm of the brake pedal, there's a little "button" that presses in the plunger of that switch when you aren't braking. Is that missing? If not, how about adjustment of the position of the switch so it's plunger gets pressed in (turning off the brake lights).
