Guys I own a 99 Accord Coupe 4 banger 5 speed, the shifter cable has broken some how I can only go into 2nd 4th an reverse. Now I spent all day yesterday going junk yard to junk yard an cant find one for nothing in the world it's a hot item for Swaps or so they tell me. I did how ever find a ton of 96's 97's which is the model before mine the shifter cables kind of look the same but I'm sure they aren't. Now could the shifter assembly with the cables work on my car? It's the same set up with hydraulic clutch etc it's looks like it would work thought is ask before I go on this mission, thx for takin the time to read this

 

Anyone? Really need some help here guys even if I go to the dealer it's a special order part down time of 4 days and $210 ouch

 

Well the numbers are different from the 5th gen (94-97) to the 6th gen (98-02).

Online dealer price is ~$120....so there is at least 90 saved....and it looks like they sell the set (both cables).

Used. Using "car-part dot com" I found a set for $75....a bit far away. Didn't try LKQ.
