Default 99 EX accord 6 cylinder-cruise control

I have a 99 EX Honda accord...was driving today and noticed tht the cruise control wotn work anymore...Im wondering if it because of somethign Ive done or did this just automatically happen.

I read somewhere else that the ruise control might not work if the VSS or something goes bad...I have no idea wat the VSS is....ne advice welcome...If it is the VSS how much can I expect to pay for getting it repaired...also Im nearinf 90K and will be doing the complete honda recommended servicing--> will tht repair the VSS too??

Responses awaited eagerlyy!!!

why would you say it is something that you did,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,what do you think you did ??

chk the fuses first..........drivers under dash fuse box fuses # 6 ,, 15 amps and # 9 ,,7.5 amps ,, also underhood fuse box,, fuse # 47,, 20 amps

VSS is vehicle speed sensor,, if it does not work cruise won't work,, is there any chk engine lite on ?? does the speedometer work ??

the 90k service does not include repairing of the VSS ..

I was under the assumption that the cruise working one day and not another so I thought maybe it was some setting that I changed that did not allow the cruise to work anymore but I guess that is not the case.

Another thing I wanted to add was that there is not cruise control light coming on no matter how many times i press it---Also the speedometer works fine--> does tht signify tht the VSS is good? If not Is there any other way that I can tell the VSS is gone or I need to get it checked?

I will check the fuses....and let you guys know...Lets see what comes off of it...
As should now be visible from my signature that my car is a 99 Accord V6 automatic...thanks for the advice...

test the switch for proper operation if it works, the problem lies elsewhere......
