It's not enough to drip or produce an oil smell, it just slowly appears. I can't exactly tell where its coming from honestly but it is below the distributor cap as you can see. All the bolts are tight so it's not as simple as that I don't believe.

Yep it looks like a distributor O-ring but it could also be leaking inside the distributor and coming out through the little spill hole on the distributor housing and that one might be a bit more involved since it requires pulling everything in the distributor out, buying and replacing the internal seal inside. Not impossible or really difficult, I've done it before, just a bit more involved.

But for now just buy the O-ring and replace it. If you see that the O-ring looks fine or the oil leak isn't fixed by replacing the O-ring then it's probably inside the distributor.

Alternatively you can take the distributor cap off and look for the oil leak right there which saves you time and money since you can do this before you replace anything.

 

The distributor is an O'Rielly Auto parts one that replaced the original one last summer. I would imagine the O-Ring is the original one? My honda dealer has them for $2 IF it's the right part. I just called and spoke with them and the guy said this is the part number I want; 30110-PA1-732. Is that the correct part number for the oring?

Make absolutely sure you mark the dizzy in relation to the enginebefore you pull it off or you will have to retime.

 

I had mine off recently, and the end of the shaft is off center, so you can't put it in wrong on my '99.
