AF or O2 symptoms

  1. I would first check that the electrical connector for the MAF sensor was firmly connected to rule that out as the cause for the CEL coming back after several days.
  2. If the electrical connector was okay, I would remove the MAF sensor to examine and possibly clean again, let dry, reinstall and see if it changes anything.
  3. If condition still exist, then like the service manual says, check these parts for vacuum leaks:
  • PCV valve
  • PCV hose
  • EVAP canister purge valve
  • Throttle body
  • Intake manifold
  • Brake booster hose
If you need help locating some of the above items, take some pictures of the engine compartment and post them.

Even though you haven't got the code checked again from the parts store, can you post a copy of the original Honda invoice? You can block out your personal info.

I went back and the code was the same, PO171. The electrical connector was sound but I haven't had the opportunity to take it out and re-clean. I took some pictures:
