Not Quiet

Just wanted you K&N lovers to know that I am convinced. I went to Advanced Auto Parts and ordered one of them pups for the LX!
I got to thinking maybe it just messed up because of the hybrid part. I'll see how this one does on just the plain POWERFUL 3.0. I also figured knowing a Honda, it will probably outlast me anyway.

You also have to factor in possible installer error. Glad you've come around, but at the same time nobody is forcing you to use that if you don't want to. I did some looking around but don't see that Comptech made an icebox for your generation Honda. If they did I think that would be a great option for you.
Getting back to possible performance upgrades, if you still want them, you have plenty of options in that regard. I still want to know your opinion on a lightweight flywheel and a clutch upgrade.
I think it would also be good to note that we're not necessarily "K&N lovers," we're just giving our two cents and trying to help you out. There are misconceptions about those filters that people who actually use them just plain don't see in practice when used correctly. Clean and oil it correctly and it will work like a charm and give you a million miles of enjoyment.

k&n air filters. Overhyped and overpriced.
I've used them for 10 years and there was not any measureable improvements.
There was in fact more danger of oil affecting the throttle body and MAF sensor because how much oil is enough?

So this is really intriguing me... Has anyone heard of problems with K&N and hybrids? I actually don't know anyone who has used an aftermarket filter on a hybrid car before. All the people I know who own hybrids don't know the first thing about cars so they don't do anything themselves (Jiffy Lube oil changes, taking it to a dealership to get a tail light replaced for $20 etc.) and I've never heard anything in any forum about it.
