Default Is there a way to bypass or remove?

Im talking about the "safety" feature that stops the drivers door lock from locking when the lock button is pushed?
I doubt that this is an error with my car as when i hit the lock button all doors lock and then the drivers door unlocks to keep you from locking your keys inside i guess
it is just annoying to have to stop and lock the drivers door with the key every time i stop anywhere.
So the question is can i bypass or stop this from happening and make it so when i hit lock all doors lock and stay locked.

It's probably possible, but would probably require disabling the power door locks. This function is built into the power door lock control unit in the driver's door panel.

Its purpose is to prevent accidentally locking keys in car.

good luck

if i remember correctly you can lock it if you pull the inside door lever and hold it, then hit the door lock. can't remember if it worked for your year or even for power or non-power only??? try it out!!!

Now just be careful so you don't have to come back & tell us you locked your keys inside...
