Default A/C help

Searched posts and keep running into deadends. Radiator fan comes on when a/c is turned on but the condensor fan does not and the compressor clutch doesn't engage. I've followed the test flowchart and keep running into dead ends. Has anyone encountered thus issue and what did you change to fix it? 1995 accord 2.2

You have two problems.

Condensor fan not engaging is either a bad fan relay, damaged wiring/connector, or bad fan. Check for 12V at the fan connector. If missing, then look at relay and then wiring.

Compressor not engaging is usually an electrical problem; excess clutch gap, open clutch, low refrigerant charge causing hi/lo pressure switch to open, thermostat, etc. Start diagnosing by checking for 12V at the compressor single wire connector under the hood.

If you have 12V, problem is excessive clutch gap or open clutch.

If you're missing 12V, then low refrigerant should be investigated (pressure gauge to assess system pressure). If you confirm adequate pressure (> perhaps 20 psi, don't have spec), then check AC compressor relay, pressure switch, wiring, etc.

A shop manual is handy to have equipment locations and wiring diagram to run down wiring faults. See DIY forum, Online Manuals post for links to a download manual.

good luck
