Default Car won't start....just clicking......

I have a 1990 Honda Accord LX.
Main Relay has recently been replaced as well as ignitor and rotary cap.

It had no problem until I went on vacation for 4 days and then came back.
My car won't start. It's clicking but won't crank or start.
The door lights are on when I put a key in. I tried to jump start but it still did not work.

Is it a battery problem?
Any suggestion what I should do

Thank you...

If battery connections are clean and tight, and battery charge is good (try jumping or charging), then the starter solenoid contacts are worn out. They wear down to where the solenoid copper cannot bridge to each contact to close the circuit for high current and drive the starter. So you only hear the solenoid throw (click) and no starter movement.

Contacts can be replaced w/ a 100+watt soldering iron on some starters. Google for Sherco Auto Supply. They have the contacts at very reasonable price and pics of the repair. Otherwise a new or used starter is necessary.

good luck

If it is an 'ND' brand starter [solenoid housing shape tells]
You can easily replace the contacts.

Yes - good connections and the batt should test 12.66V at full charge with a digital meter and not drop below 9.5V when cranking.

Batteries can be a real problem.

If possible - try another battery that checks good.
