Drivers side....orange wire on the new head unit......

But really, give some details of the problems and what led up to them.

I installed a new head unit, and 2 weeks later my dash/console lights went out. They started flickering one night, then out. My unit doesn't even use a dimmer wire. So I may just cut the orange one off the harness altogether.
I even put the stock radio back in, and the lights were still out.

I started reading online about it and everything points to getting a new multiplex.

I cannot seem to find the Drivers Side Multiplex for under $200. Anyone know how to get it cheaper?

TIA

Might try someplace like carparts .com (or something like that) for a used one. However I would see about any test you can do to be sure, sorry I don;t have the manual for that year-check the DIY section for one you can download.

As far as the head unit install, check the audio/visual (or other way around) section of this forum for what to look out for. Search that section for what to look out for, I've only read enough to know "something" about the orange wire. If you can't find the information you need in an old post you can make a new one in there (search first).
