changing auto transmission fluid
Hi, i am using accord 90, with auto transmission. I bought the car in 2010. Is still moving great. I want to find out when should i change the transmission fluid although presently there is no problem with the gear. What are the signs or test to perform to indicate that the automatic transmission is still working 100% capacity? When i engage the gear in D4 without pressing the accelerator it still tends to move forward on its own which is ok. Hope to hear from you guys. THANKS

I believe there is in the manual a reccomended maintenence schedule that tells you after how many miles to service the oils and fluids. Also it should pull forward in gear with no gas. Thats just what cars do because the torque converter. My accord has over 210,000 miles on it but the tranny is relatively new as i have the 02' EX and those go out regularly lol

Told that we should drain and fill annually (takes 2.5 qts exactly for '97 AT) to get max lifetime from tranny.
Conventional wisdom is use Honda AT labelled fluid.
