Super loud rattling noise but only when idle
2000 Honda Accord LX 4cyl with over 240,000 miles on her.
This morning, my car starting to make a SUPER LOUD rattling noise on my way to work. The noise is only present when I'm idle. If my foot is touching the gas at all, the noise goes silent. But if my foot is off the gas for like a stop light or when I'm slowing for a turn, it's there.
Put my car in park and got out to listen. Noise seems to be coming from the center of the underside of the car and not the engine compartment.
Any ideas or advice would be most welcome! Thank you.

A common rattle problem is the heat shield of the catalytic converter. Take a look at where it bolts to see if it is cracked. A quick fix is to get 2 washing machine hose clamps to secure the heat shield to the catalytic converter.
