Default D4 code and ABS code.

This morning I was doing some testing on my 94 accord lx. When I checked for stored codes I got:

3 fast D4 codes followed by:

2 fast ABS codes and then 1 fast ABS code.

Does anyone have any idea what this means?

Heres a video for reference. Dont mind the CEL I unplugged the Oxygen Sensor to test it with a multimeter.

Code 3 flashed on D4 light is Lock-Up Clutch does not engage. Cause is electrical fault (short or open)in throttle position circuit or faulty throttle position sensor. Check wiring and connector carefully, and then perform TP sensor checks per shop manual.

ABS code was probabaly 2-1 which is two fast blinks, 1-sec pause, followed by 1 fast blink. Are you sure of code? I would suggest rechecking. There is no 2 stand-alone code, hence I thought it was 2-1, but you need to be sure. 2-1 is code for a parking brake fault. A large number of possibilities are listed in shop manual in the ABS section.

To get the extensive details to be checked, download the 94-97 Accord manual from one of the Online Manuals links in DIY section.

good luck

It most likely threw the TPS code because I unplugged that as well to test it.

It is a 2-1 ABS code which makes no sense to have a code for the parking brake.

It's described in detail in the ABS section of shop manual. There are a number of possibilities related to parking brake.

If you were to use the handbrake to slide the rear wheels, the ABS is programmed to NOT interfere. However, it DOES complain by setting the ABS lamp.
