does brake idiot light mean bad rotors?
I checked the brake fluid and its good. I unpluged the wires to the brake fluid cap and still the brake light comes on when I put the car in gear. It came on a few weeks ago and has been on ever since when the car is not in park or neutral. The parking brake works fine and itsnot on.Is there a chance that bad rotors will set off the light? I just changed the brake pads because I thought that might be the problem but no help.

If no brake lamp is out, it could be one of the following: A bad master cylinder cap, a faulty float (attached to MC cap), or the filter inside the master cylinder (has been upgraded by Honda.)
Type in "brake light" in the search engine and you should find a few threads on this.

Betcha one of the brake lamp bulbs is blown. Have someone press on the brakes as you stand at the back of the car.
