Default Failed inspection please help

Went to get inspected today and when the car was in the bay it had to be jump started and I am assuming this is why some of the tests failed??

I took the battery and had it tested, it was ok. The terminals were really corroded so i cleaned them and re installed the battery and everything seems to be ok now.

Could this be why the test(s) failed? I had no check engine light come on before OR after inspection..

Any Thoughts? Thanks

2006 Accord V6 3.0 AT

Shouldn't really matter on a 1977 Accord, since it doesn't have any kind of OBD system.

Maybe if you told us what kind of car???

OBD-2 (1996+) the dead battery probably cleared the ECU. Then you have to drive a few normal days of driving to set all the different readyness codes. Newer cars get even more sophisticated about what's needed to satisfy the readyness codes.

Default update...

seems that the battery was bad afterall. I went to AutoZone to get it tested and this time it was still in the car and came up with a bad read. Last time I just walked it into Napa.. I guess now I will just wait and drive it a bit before I go to get inspection retested.

This thread has some information about exactly what is needed to set the readyness codes.
