Gas Cap Door Stuck
I bought a used 2003 Honda Accord V-6 in March 0f 2006. I went to the Gas station yesterday to fill up. I pressed the lever to open up the door to the Filler cap and it did not open. I repeated a couple of times with the same result. I had my wife press down on the lever, while I tried to open the door with a small key, No Luck. Any suggestions or am I at the mercy of the dealership?
Thanks,
Accord Owner

RE: Gas Cap Door Stuck
Pull the carpeting away from the side of the trunk so you can see where the cable goes. Maybe you can see what's disconnected & hook it back up? Maybe it's unhooked from the lever next to the seat?

RE: Gas Cap Door Stuck
JimBlake,
Thanks for the advice. I pulled back the carpet in the trunk and found the cable. I did not see anything in particular that was wrong, I recalled earlier when I pressed down on the lever to open the filler cap door it felt like the cable was pulled too far in, I think that was why the door did not open. I then decided to push the cable back toward the front of the car for more slack in the front. I then pressed down on the lever to open the door to the gasfiller cap , and it popped open. Whew, I thought I was going to have to go the dealer for this. Thanks Again
