Honda Part # - 1999 Accord LX
I'm looking for a part number for Genuine Honda 2nd ClutchPressureSwitch. My 1999 Accord LX is a four door automatic trans.
History: Recent diagnostic test gave me a P0700 & P1738 code. From internet research the 2nd ClutchPressureSwitch may be the culprit. No slipping or hard shifting from what I can tell.
I'm looking to price the part from Honda on the internet if possible.
Any feedback is appreciated. If more info is required let me know.

I may have a similar problem with the OP. 1998 LX 4 auto. It has been shifting hard & delayed from 1st to 2nd. A week ago I noticed it's trying to find gear during 3rd-4th shifting and a hard delayed shift to 1st at stops. I stopped using it when I noticed these symptoms. No CEL. However, I check for codes & it gave me the P1738. So I decided to change the ATF & reset the code. I have driven it for just a short distance (20 miles) and everything seems to shift gently, no more hard shiftings. My question is do I have to replace the 2nd gear switch sensor. Thanks.

I think it's getting worse. Keeps slipping on gears 1st, 2nd & 3rd after driving for 12 miles from cold start. No codes found. However, my scanner indicates "MIL OFF". Time to get rid of it? 255k miles of driving without a major issue until this. Advise please. Thanks.

"fdte" - It may be on its way out. The 6th gen Accords (98-02) have an issue with the auto trans - other gens are fine.
Selling it or fixing it is up to you. If you sell it, well the trans is bad so how much are you going to get? If you fix it, be sure the proper "upgrades" are done during the re-build and this will prevent the same thing from happening again.
Your choice.

I give up! I changed the 2nd gear sensor (I had the P1738 when this slipping started), drain & fill ATF & it work for a while. The ATF that came out was pinkish & no burnt smell. Once it gets warmed up, about 15 miles of continuous driving, it started slipping again, tho not as bad as before. I have enough ATF & Lucas ATF additive to do another drain & fill. If this last attempt doesn't work, away she goes. The interior is in great shape. It had seat covers since new, as 1st owner. The exterior is another story - oxidized paint, dings, dents & hit bumper. Thank you guys for all your help.
