need help deciding
i know for a fact i need a new transmission on my 95 accord lx f22b2 im not sure if i should get one at a junk yard, brand new or have my old one rebuilt. Which one of these choices would anyone recommend. Are there any other alternatives and what would the prices be for each of these options. Im kinda on a tight budget with college and i need to spend less and get my car up and running for a good long time

Auto or manual?
How many miles on the engine?
If it's low miles, I'd get a rebuilt one.
If it's high miles, I'd get a used one, but put a new rear main seal before installing it, then fill it will fresh Honda ATF-Z1.
If it's a manual, I'd get used, but if it grinds or slips, rebuilt.

the engine has near 155xxx and its an auto. i just don't want to get a used one that will fail on me because of poor maintenance. thats what happened to my own. the previous owner never changed the the fluid or at least not soon enough. then again i should have checked it when i bought the car so dumb move on my car. The transmission started slipping and its pretty much useless now.

You should be able to get a tranny around $300, definitely less than $500. The entire swap would cost around $2500 including labor and parts, around the same or less than a rebuilt auto tranny.

Just to be thorough, does the D4 light start flashing when you are driving the car?
You can short a service connector under the glove box and count the D4 flashes. I use a thin paperclip to do this. Follow these instructions and count the D4 light (also count the check engine light to be thorough). Post any codes on here.

It is possible that the solenoids/screens on the tranny need to be cleaned out. Just use some throttle body cleaner. See the end of this recent post for some pics.

Its worth the hour and ~$10 investment to see if something else is causing your transmission problems.
