Default looking to buy!

Hey everyone, I'm looking to buy a 1992 Accord EX. 4 cyl, 5 spd manual this next week, what are some things to keep a look out for while test driving? The car is advertised at 250,000 miles. Thanks!

Listen to the engine for a low end knock. Check all electrical components. Test the A/C if you can or take it some place to have it pressure checked. Other then that check all the basics. At least that is what I do.

Last time the timing belt was changed was?????

You'll want to know that - they should be changed every ~7 years or 100K miles.

The ad says "newer" timing belt. I'll be sure to ask how new. I'm only paying $500 for it so I guess it's hard to be too picky

I have this same '92 EX car as daily driver w/ 239,000 miles, 5 spd tranny.

So, I'd specifically form opinion of clutch condition/longevity.
$500 is pretty low for this car in my neck of woods, so that's good, in a way.
