Question New shoes, No E-Brake......

Hi all,

I recently replaced the rear brakes, and all springs and retainers, on my
1990 Accord LX Sedan.

Ever since, I have no Emergency Brake. I removed the cover, and tried
to adjust, and noticed that when I apply the brake the driver side works
great... Tight after about 5th click. But the passenger side is totally loose.

I have removed the drums again, and applied the brake. Both LOOK like
they are working. Both pull the shoes where they should, however with the
drums on, only the driver side actually holds the drum. The passenger side I can rotate by hand.

I am stumped, and any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Mike

Maybe the shoes need adjusted, or something is installed wrong.

Google sTpKpkxJjLQ

The first hit is a YouTube video about shoes on an 01 odyssey. Maybe it will help.

There's an adjuster - turn the star-wheel. That's probably what's on that utube video, so check that out.
