Oxygen Sensor issues

Followed this thread & just joined up...2003 Accord Ex 4cyl....codes came up P0135...faulty O2 Bank 1 Sensor 1....1 guy said only V-6 has 2 banks...called Autozone for part $ info & she's all...the 4 cyl has 2 banks as well...I am not knowing! 2nd code is p1135 o2 Sensor 1 has poor electrical connecton/short or is open...can I just tape that ? it looks like the old tape is falling off

The 4-cyl engine only has 1 bank. There's 2 sensors on that bank, so maybe that's the confusion at Autozone.

Default Im not sure Im doing this right Jim!

I did not think my car guy Bob was wrong about there being only one bank til she said that & I was reading pre & after cat plug ins... the box from Autozone says Wideband A/F sensor (Bosch) I hope I bought the right thing. my neighbor is gonna jack it up tonight & replace it. ...knowledge is power so I will reread my Chiltons befor he gets here in 2 hrs...thank you for your response! I got the code info from engine-codes.com P0135 & P1157 both indicate front oxygen sensor is open, etc...all Bank 1 Sensor 1...

Make sure you check the electrical connections & wiring back into the car. The computer can't tell the difference between a bad sensor vs. bad wiring.
