Middle of the valve cover opposite the plugs. L-shaped piece with a hose that runs to the intake manifold at the back of the engine. Pull it and shake it; if it rattles it's ok and you have a different problem. Or just replace it, their cheap.

Yes, thank I replaced it with a $5aftermarket one,my friendly Hondaparts department wanted 26 bucks for one! I just can't believe a simple part like this would be so much better just becuase it is from Honda!

Not really, it still idles rough and somewhat low at stops.

I have new plugs/wires/distributor cap/rotor and air filter. I did a search and see people mention cleaining IACV. Not sure how to do this, couldn't find a DIY.

You actually need to clean the throttle body, check the warm idle, if still not great the adjust manual idle adjustment, if still not great then get a diagnosis with scan data.

Do an oil change too, now, fuel fumes sucked into the PCV will make the plugs rich and give you a poor idle, take a look ot one of the plugs and let us know how black it is and how far down the white porceline is still white.

Actually, I may have spoken too soon. The PCV valve change may have done the trick, the car revs more smoothly now right aroung 750 ROM at idle.

By the way as mentione din my original note I ws chep and settled for aftermarket part (FRAM ) . I think it should be O.K., I figured I can replace the sucker 5 times if needed for the price of what dealer parts department wanted!

At those prices, its a yearly tune up part anyways.

Just an FYI:I've seen a lot of talk on another forum saying that the Advance Auto Fram copies are better than the actual Fram filters. I change my filter at every change so I just buy the cheapies.

If you clean any part of your intake I suggest you remove the part first. It took my car days to get all the garbage out; I cleaned everything while it was on the car.
