Poor acceleration

Is it smooth & underpowered? Or does it sputter & shake?
If smooth...
Mis-adjusted tranny cable (the cable that goes from throttle down to the tranny)?
If not smooth...
How old are the spark plugs? Distributor cap & rotor? Tune-up stuff like that?

It is Smooth all the way. I have not heard about the tranny cable ill have to look into that, thanks.
I was also going to check the Cat convt to see if it isnt clogged, could this also be it you think?
Could it have anything to do with the EGR valve or fuel system?

I haven't had these conditions firsthand, but here goes...
Clogged cat SHOULD(?) restrict more at higher RPM & higher load. That's when the exhaust flow rate is highest.
People usually describe EGR problems as stumbling - not smooth.

The throttle control cable that goes to the tranny is working properly and is in sync with the throttle.
Even if i rev the car up in nuetral it bogs until it gets to 2500 rpm then its like it hits a power band and shoots up just fine.
Could it be a dirty fuel delivery .. like the throttle body or fuel rail?

Replaced the spark plugs, cap, and rotor, still the same acceleration problem but it does run a little bit smoother so thats good.. Still thinking of cleaning out the EGR valve and ports though im it doesnt sound like it is too easy.. some say it is some say not so... the motor is f22a6 and i found that this has a two stage intake ... could it have something to do with this?
